Daniela began practicing yoga in 2000 and went on to study the traditional eastern art of yoga and Buddhist Psychology at the renowned Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree. Yoga helped Daniela lose and keep off over 50 pounds. Additionally, she loved the emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga. However, after injuring both knees and developing painful tears in her hamstrings from practicing yoga without proper anatomical alignment, she became frustrated with how yoga is commonly taught in the U.S. Daniela then devoted herself to learning how to teach and practice yoga safely and for maximum therapeutic benefit. She not only healed her injuries but developed her own dynamic system of therapeutic movement that is highly individualized, safe, and fun.
Daniela obtained her 200 hour yoga teaching certificate in Balanced Action Yoga from the Shakti Yoga Shala in Big Basin, California and also completed a 100 hour yoga therapeutics training program through the Shakti Yoga Shala. She is constantly educating herself in the latest therapeutic modalities, including the recent developments in fascial research, in order to be of greatest service to her clients. She is trained in the revolutionary Melt Method by founder Sue Hitzman and is also a Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist.
